Ink & Drink® - Brush Pen Lettering Workshop

  • Saranac Brewery 830 Varick Street Utica, NY 13501 United States (map)

The Ink & Drink® - Brush Pen Lettering Workshop is designed to help participants learn how to transform a brush pen into a magic wand capable of creating Instagram-worthy masterpieces. Through step-by-step instruction, participants will learn the proper grip, posture, and movement of basic strokes (the building blocks of alphabets). They will then create lower- and upper-case letters, learn how to connect letters appropriately, and finally, tackle their own final project (place cards included!). All the while, participants will be hands-on practicing with two of the best of the best brush pens in the lettering world - yours to keep! Lastly, the instructor will discuss different kinds of brush pens and brands out there (as well as where to find them) so that participants can be "in the know" and successfully continue their brush lettering journey.

Your RSVP will include:
•Two hours of hands-on instruction
• An Exclusive Workbook created by Sarah Dustin, calligrapher/letterist of The Adirondack Ink
• Customized templates and alphabet exemplars
• A take-home kit including a clipboard, measuring tool, hard-tipped Tombow brush pen, soft-tipped Tombow brush pen, and dual-tipped Tombow brush pen.
• A take-home project including a 5-pack of holiday gift tags with red satin ribbon
• A complimentary drink of your choice from the 1888 Tavern at Saranac Brewery!
• Full access to Sarah's experience and knowledge with lettering and starting a lettering business
